Arugula and Asiago salad

This blog is going to be a bit different.  I don't want this to turn into a recipe blog, I'm a terrible photographer and food/recipe blogs have far too many beautiful photographs than I'm comfortable with.  But, I wanted to share this recipe because it's delicious!  My mom makes this salad from time to time, and I had forgotten about it until last night when she brought it to dinner at my aunt's house. Then I ate two helpings of it.  It's super easy, healthy and delicious.  

 

 

I'm not even going to write it as an actual recipe, because it's a salad. There are no measurements, just take it easy with the cheese and bacon, a little goes a long way.  It starts with a bed of arugula, which has a nice peppery taste, then top with walnuts, bacon bits (use real bacon, please), sliced or chopped pear (leave the skin on for more fibre, better texture and colour), finely sliced endive, and grated asiago cheese.  Top with balsamic vinegar glaze.  That's it! Enjoy.
